Step 1. Kill the Icethorn Vanguard UnitA unit consisting of Icethorn Vanguard Combatants, Icethorn Vanguard Sentrys, Icethorn Vanguard Supervisors, and Icethorn Vanguard Riders. It appears when the Elyos or Asmodians capture Icethorn Frontier Post. The one consisting of Icethorn Vanguard Combatants, Icethorn Vanguard Sentrys, and Icethorn Vanguard Supervisor appears when the Balaur capture Icethorn Frontier Post. (x5).

Step 2. Talk with StifasA captain of the Guardian Detachment who appears when the Elyos capture Icethorn Frontier Post..
