The Quartz Rod didn’t have enough energy, so you have to defeat Collector Spallers, Plain Gathering Worms, and Crater Gathering Worms to obtain Surkana Fragments.

Obtained from a Collector Spaller, Plain Spaller, or Crater Spaller.s and bring them to PilomenesA Balaur researcher from the outskirts of Elysea.
