The floodgates are open and you can start pre-downloading your open beta Aion client right away. If you already have the Closed Beta client you can find the patch on Fileplanet and this should bring your client up to Open Beta readiness ( sexiness? ).
(update) I did this and it works – the actual patching will commence on August 31. (that’s the message I got from the patcher once it completed everything). A torrent download file has also been provided by the Aion team and if you prefer that over Fileplanet this is the link

(update) There is also a Fileplanet link for the full client available, but I must warn you that a lot of folks are reporting trouble with this one. I personally tried this one as well and couldn’t start the setup file. I tried it in a “DOS box” (running cmd.exe) and this is what it said:
I guess someone compiled a wrong version of the setup.exe or something. We’ll keep you posted if we get any additional information. If you can wait, the official post about the links is saying that there will be download at GamersHell as well, but not until next week. I am downloading the torrent of the full OB client as well now to see if everything is alright.
Now if only this download status bar moved faster …
