Roleplaying community on Lumiel is hosting a roleplaying event on Sunday May 16 with the purpose of recruiting new members to RP Legions. The whole event is organized by aionroleplayers.com members and it will take place in Sanctum on Sunday, May 16th @ 8pm CST (6pm PST, 7pm MST, 9pm EST). What: Role-playing legion “recruitment” event, in support of the growth & longevity of Lumiel’s Elyos RP legions
Date/Time: Sunday, May 16th @ 8pm CST (6pm PST, 7pm MST, 9pm EST)

Why: Meet & Greet for role-play legions and interested recruits to get together and to interactively learn more about what RP legions are active in the Lumiel Elyos community and what niches they fill. This is also a great opportunity for RP legions to better get to know each other and network a bit.

Channels: Join the following RP Recruitment Faire channels to hear each guild give their 1-2 minute “OOC” pitch describing their legion. Registered legions will be given the floor to speak in alphabetical order, and will be given a brief amount of time following their pitch to answer OOC questions. You can find them at their “booth” for further, more detailed Q&A as well as for RP interactions with them.

Jefnyerk the Sad has been going around the Aion servers looking for his lost valentine, Dianyerk, since last Thursday. He roams the capital cities looking for kindhearted adventurers to help him search for his beloved. It is a mini in-game scavenger hunt that sends you chasing after what is reported to be a “… GM in the costume of a Shugo with a glad(iator) icon”. If you find her among the first ,you will be presented with some nice gifts, including Valentine dyes (red or pink) and other spoils. Ayase just announced that:

Jefnyerk is heading towards Kahrun and Kalil tonight. At least that’s the word on the street.

so if you have a toon on one of those servers make sure you check it out.

I love how Jefnyerk the Sad even posted on the official forum about his lost love and there are even character pages available for Jefnyerk and Dianyerk.

Just in time for Valentine’s day, NCSoft made available paid account services. Things you’ll be able to do for a small fee:

• Legion Name Change ($19.99/€13.99/£11.99)
• Gender Change ($14.99/€9.99/£8.99)
• Character Customization ($9.99/€6.99/£5.99)

Also, there’s a special offer for Valentine’s day where you can purchase the True Love Valentine Pack and Chocolate Valentine Pack until February 28, 2010. Both of these include special dyes, emotes and an appropriate head piece. Just a nice little way to show your appreciation to that special someone in-game.

The interesting thing about the Account Services is that there’s an archive of changes made (appropriately named the Shadow Court Archives), so you can keep in touch with friends/legions that have changed their names or appearance.

NCSoft decided to share the love with its Aion player base by enabling double XP weekend this Valentine’s day. On Friday, February 12 at 8 p.m. (server time), double experience will be enabled and run through the weekend, ending on Monday at 8 a.m. (server time). A few days ago Aion team has announced the winners of the Solorius Festival Video Contest. This contest was launched in December 2009 with the goal to let us show our talent and creativity during the Festival. The Halloween event in Aion did not impress. Hopes for Christmas / New Year events were not high either. In stroke of genius NCSoft provided a giant piano in front of the Christmas tree in the capital cities for their Solorius Festival event. Since there is no ciontent like user created content, some great videos have surfaced featuring the aforementioned piano and some highly synchronized players . The big gaming LAN party is being held in Sweden right now and NCSoft is representing in full. Aion_Ayase is there to promote Aion to the crowds, along with the Swedish fan community members that are enjoying the PvP tournaments. There is a 3v3 tournament and a FFA tournament going on and finals will be hosted on Saturday. If you are visiting by any chance, you will be able to find Tutty, since they are handing out pink squishable pigs to innocent bystanders . If you get a hold of one – we want pictures!

BTW, First FFA brawl was won by the aiononline.se community members (congrats) and they won some great swag from Razor and SteelSeries.
