With the latest patch notes 1.5.1.7 the main Auction House search frustration has disappeared – searching items in the Auction House is no longer case sensitive! Before heading to the Trade Broker here are some tips you should be aware of:
Shugo trade brokers can be found in every major town.
You can access auction items by clicking on the Auction Broker or by pressing C on your keyboard. There are three main tabs on the broker window: Buy, Sell and Sold Items.
Whether you are buying or selling items, the first thing you should do is check prices at any general merchant, because you don’t want to sell bellow merchant prices.
Search result items can be sorted by name, level, price or by unit price (when you are selling a stack of items).
The search function will only search your currently selected category and sub-categories. It will apply this filter until you reset it.
If you want to check the price of an item you already have in your inventory, you don’t have to type the full item name. Open the Auction window- Buy tab, then simply Right Click the item in your inventory and the complete item name will show up in the search bar.
If you want to split your item stack hold down Shift button + Right Click on the stack you want to split and then specify an amount you want to sell.
When you start, you’ll have 27 cube slots + 1 extra inventory slot for Quest item in your inventory bag. Although it may appear like a lot of space, soon you’ll realize that you need additional slots. You can expand your Cube by visiting a Cube Artisan in most towns or villages and paying a fee. Your default Cube, 27 inventory slots, is 3 rows of 9 slots.
When you expand your Cube to the next level you will add another row of 9 slots. Different Cube Artisans can help you to expand your Cube for 5 levels. When you raise your inventory Cube to level 5, additional rows can be added by quests or as a Veteran Reward. You can have a maximum of 4 Cubes: one default Cube and three Expanded Cubes.
Refer a friend to play Aion, and you will get a free month credit* of Aion game time! All you have to do is log in to your NCsoft Master Account, enter some simple contact information for you and your friend, and click the Refer a Friend button.
Aion Online will send an e-mail containing a free demo serial code to your friend. If your friend buys a new standard account and pays for a subscription for at least one month of Aion game time, you will be automatically credited with one month of free game time!
And finally, something that NCSoft hasn’t announced in the latest patch notes but all Spiritmasters have been waiting for and has been already announced in Korea - Spiritmaster Pets now have the ability to fly. Congratulations!

NCsoft has released a statement to the community about character progression with some interesting solutions:
1. Implementing double experience weekends over the next three weeks for levels 1-35
2. Soul Healing will be less expensive for characters of all levels
3. Increasing the experience bonus that Energy of Repose bestows for levels 20-44
The Aion Community Team has announced that the Aion servers will be down from 3:30 a.m. PST, December 17, 2009 (more) for an update. Downtime is estimated to take no longer than 3 hours.
This weeks the maintenance will coincide with the release the latest patch, which will include the Solorius Festival, the first double experience weekend, and a few additional gameplay changes.
Aion Team has decided to launch Aion with an Oceanic server set to GMT+10. Oceanic communities have already masterfully executed unofficial polls indicating their server desires. To honor these community efforts, the North American server Nezekan will be adjusted to an Oceanic time zone and event schedule immediately.
The server will however not be labeled as an Oceanic server right away, but Aion plan on changing that in a patch within the first two weeks after launch. We are doing everything we can until then to let everyone know about the plans for Nezekan’s future time zone schedule to allow players to make informed decisions.
Aiononline.com will soon be updated with a quick character search function and detailed character pages that will allow you and others to view your characters with all their accoutrements directly in a browser. You will also be able to view server statistics and Abyss Rankings in order to follow your own and your friends’ progress through the game–or to find out what numbers you need to beat to reach the top!
Aion’s official forums will let you socialize with fellow gamers. They will supplement the forums of our fansites to make an excellent medium through which you can get to know other players from the servers you play on.
Chant of Purification can be used by entering the prompted combination of numbers and letters, you will be given a total of 3 chances to enter the combination correctly, if a player fails all three attempts, the character won’t be able to collect any more ore for an extended period of time

We have added a new information tab that displays the remaining waiting time for all of the instances. The new tab will display both you and your party members waiting time for all instances
We have made the following changes to the auctioneer.
we added ‘includes words’ option to the search tab along with ‘exact match’
items can now be added to your auctions just by right clicking on the item with auction window open
We added preview option for color sprays and hair dyes.
We added preview option for hats for character look change window.
You can now change default order of combo skills in the combo skills tab.
Running away from a spell being casted will no longer interrupt the spell.
We have increased quest item drop rates for Stigma quests.
We have made significant changes to stats of every monsters in Dark Poeta instance.
These monsters are now more vulnerable to spell damage.
These monsters are now more resistant to physical damage.
All monsters excluding the bosses now have lower hp.
We have lowered the difficulty of Steel Mane instance.
We have added an elevator to the Steel Mane instance.
We have changed the stats of monsters in abyss fortress instance. they will have lower hp but more resistant to physical damage
We have lowered the amount of stigma shards required to equip stigmas.
