We thought it would be helpful to post several advices by Bittena of Israphel to help you participate in the latest Decorate Your Aion House contest. If you know any additional Tips or Tricks, please feel free to share it with us in the comment section bellow.
The furniture in game is undyable so you cannot change the colors to match. This gives you a real limited set of options to create a theme to the space, and a narrow color palate to choose from.
The smaller the space the more limited the choices.
A larger space can be broken up with walls and large furniture pieces.
Getting a good look is not as expensive as it seems. I only spent maybe 20 million kinah on items. Flooring and Wall paper (and for houses etc outside treatments) are the single most expensive items… but you can use guest petals for a great deal.
The traveling shugo merchants in the housing regions offer as much as a 45% discount on guest petal purchased items!! Take advantage of that, just remember they only show up on the 15-17th of each in game month (6 hour real time window) and they seem to be pretty random which of the 8 locations they can go to will be picked.
Your friends that take up construction with have nick-knacks that are left over and gifts from running work orders (where my candelabra’s came from) so ask around!

NCsoft announced new contest Decorate Your Space from Friday, May 11, to 11:59 PM CDT Friday, May 18.
Submit up to 3 screenshots of the interior of your home to community_aion_en@ncsoft.com, or post to the “Decorate Your Space! submissions” forum thread by Friday, May 18, and we’ll pick the top three Daevas per server with an eye for décor! Screenshots will be judged on presentation, composition, creativity, framing, and uniqueness; so remember, be creative! Photo-editing software cannot be used.
I spotted on the official forums a great tread Show off your house. You need a lot of kinah to buy all expensive furniture, but some furniture is really amazing.
Players can now download Aion: Ascension and play Truly Free without Pando Media Booster. Beginning at 12:00 p.m. PDT (2:00 p.m. CDT / 3:00 p.m. EDT), the NC Launcher will not prompt players to install Pando Media Booster in order to download and update Aion: Ascension. Players can now install and update the game directly through the NC Launcher.
A new cartography feature lets you draw with four different colors: yellow, red, green and blue. You can also save and share the map amongst members of your group. This is a great tool for all the players who participate in the mentor system.
NCsoft updated the Aion official site to announce that Aion servers will be down for maintenance from 5:00 a.m. Central Time, April 11, until 4:00 p.m. Central Time. Any updates to the schedule will be posted via Facebook and Twitter.
During the server maintenance the Aion website and forums will be unavailable. If you want to know what’s coming in today’s update check the Aion 3.0 patch notes in pdf format (13Mb).
Aion Producer Adam Christensen answers questions about Truly Fee Aion Free to Play model and new features coming to Aion 3.0. Truly Fee Aion model will allow players to experience all the content with full unrestricted access – no increased instance cooldown and full access to Aion 3.0 content which means new level cap from 55 to 60, new content, 600 new quests, 2 new zones, 6 new instances, housing system and stylish mounts. Aion Ascension launches April 11, 2012.
Gameforge has released the official date for Aion’s European free-to-play model – it’s February 28th. English, German and French language versions of Aion client are available at the official website.
Gameforge also stated that the AION 3.0 patch will hit Europe in the spring 2012.
You are an AION player and have prepaid subscription fees that continue past 27th of February? If so, we will transfer your remaining game days into premium currency as compensation.
For every day paid for in advance, you will receive six AION Coins in your account. If, for example, you paid your subscription up to the 3rd of March, you have five remaining game days. This means you will receive 30 AION Coins, which you can spend to your heart’s content in our new shop.
So that we can give you your AION Coins, please give us permission to transfer your current account to the Gameforge servers by the 27th of February at 3 pm (GMT +1). To do so, log into your NCsoft master account and follow the instructions. We’ll take care of the rest!
Your AION Coins will be credited to your game account when the account is moved and will be available to you once you log in to the free-to-play version for the first time. Players with a transferred NC account will also receive Veteran status with enhanced functions. Find out more info here.
