Importan announcement incoming

We got word from inside sources that there will be a “newsworthy” announcement from NCSoft within the next hour or so. We’ll let you know as soon as we know more. In the meantime – let the speculation commence! What do you think it will be, Patch 2.0 release, new server,character transfer update or something less exciting yet worth knowing, like GamesCom schedule? Feel free to speculate in the comment section.

Images of two new Aion lands

Patch 2.0 made its appearance on the Korean Test servers and in turn we have loads of media pouring in. Just to remind you, NCSoft plans to release this patch to the Western audiences sometime in September/October (as announced in their Q1 2010 quarterly earnings report conference call ). Lets start with the maps of the new Balaur lands Gelkmaros and Inggison.

NOTE: all of these are speculation. Our Korean is no good and we may have misunderstood a lot of things. We’ll provide you with the images but make sure you take everything with a grain of salt.

Aion patch 2.0 video from the Korean press conference

Information and media from the recently announced Aion patch 1.9 is starting to pour in. Massively.com found this video from the big press conference that was held in Korea and it showcases not only the 1.9 changes, but beyond, into the Aion 2.0 content. There are improvements to the gliding across vast distances as well as new bosses. Graphics engine seems to be better as well.

The patch version numbers are being used as a way to differentiate them from the current version of the game and to put them in a certain timeline. There have been some rumors circling recently about “AION 2.0″ and it coming out in February, 2010. There is no official announcement by NCsoft so far. If this update does hit the Korean servers this month, due to localization, we’ll probably wait to see it for a few more weeks/months. According to mmosite.com this big update will offer:
