Apparently, there’s an overwhelmingly positive response of the Aion community to the double XP weekends because NCSoft is introducing another one of these, mere two weeks after the last one. Aion Life’s scientific team sat down to determine why the community likes double XP weekends so much. The image above is the result of their 2 month research that cost hundreds of millions. You guys check out when double XP weekend starts on your server below, while we feed our science team to the alligators.
NCSoft decided to share the love with its Aion player base by enabling double XP weekend this Valentine’s day. On Friday, February 12 at 8 p.m. (server time), double experience will be enabled and run through the weekend, ending on Monday at 8 a.m. (server time). A video from what appears to be the Korean version of the game started circulating the web some time ago. It showcases Aion weapons with funny models/skins. Seems you can model your weapon to look like a trout or carrots or a fork even. The video just speaks for itself. Any comment would be moot.
In line with the above video – I just saw this episode of a show called the Big Bang Theory depicting a MMO dungeon crawl. I think all MMORPG players can relate to this one… Enjoy:
Portuguese Legion Conclave (http://www.conclave.com.pt/) decided the celebrate receiving their first Veteran Reward by synchronously using the Pop Legend Emote (better known as Michael Jackson emote). Add some music from the “King of pop”, do a nice montage, throw in a sexy looking toon and you have the community buzzing about it.
At the same time, another European Legion, Infinity is planning a server wide event using the aforementioned emote. We’ll post a video of that as soon as it becomes available. You can find the details on Aion Source forums.
There is apparently a contest going on in NCSoft’s offices to determine who has the best Halloween themed desk. Who has the best looking decoration? I vote for the Spider guy.
I am not a fan of large gaming network sites. They tend to be to impersonal. They tend to put their heart into the game only if its very successful and pays them big bucks. You can see bursts of activity on a particular subject when most advertisement bucks are spent and then everything seems to quiet down. There are, however, some high quality writers engaged in this process and they write for only the biggest networks out there. Great writers = great articles. I came across two very fun articles at MMORPG.ocm and TenTonHammer.com that every Aion player should read in their spare time.
There’s this one small fedex quest in Altgard called “The Scribbler”. In it you have to talk to certain Noroia character. Although she is a scantily clothed lady wielding a large mace, that is not why everyone is talking about her in Regional chat. It is because 90% of the players can’t locate her. Aion Life to rescue with our detailed quest explanations. Noroia is located in a dungeon below Altgard. The entrance to the dungeon is in the back of the main buildings as clearly shown in our images of the quest walkthrough. Hope this saved some of you some time .
